What Oko14 likes about Walpa Lobby:
I was surprised how much of a nice experience I had here. (Considering some of the reviews) I had a couple of waiters help me (one to the table straight away) and another went to check on how long was the wait on food, and if they had any vegan meals left. The restaurant was pretty busy, but you could still hear the music. It was really clear who was the manager on the floor. A gentlemen of an Indian decent. He was v... View all feedback.

"Best breakfast buffet I've seen! Variety was amazing! Staff attention fantastic!I was very surprised by the amount of varieties of food on offer here. From Burcher Muesli and Greek yoghurt pots to Congee and the western regulars of bacon, eggs, sausages, scrambled eggs, mushroom, tomatoes and baked beans....the list goes on. You can also have food cooked to your requirements by the lovely chefs there - all very happy to assist you with what you are after. Bottles of freshly squeezed OJ, cheeses and sushi were also on offer plus amazing variety of pastries."

"Food option (entrance to exit): dumpling, fried rice, tomatoes, mushroom, baked beans, bacon, pastry, bread, cheese selection, cold meat, fruits, small smoothie, chia seed pudding, cereals, juice, milk, water, egg station in the middle Cleaness: Restaurant set up was amazingly clean and well organized Coffee: Included brewing coffee and tea is served by wait staff on the table. Barista coffee is around $5.50 Customer service: Not feeling welcomed. The lady at host didn’t welcome when we enter the restarant and gave the table near the entrance even when there are lots of tables available inside. Staff in the buffet area was just standing and not helping. Only one wait staff clearing tables was friendly. Buffet food option is really nice and reommended but don’t expect good customer service."

"I stayed at the Ayers Rock Resort (see separate review) not a lot of dining options out here... this became my nightly hangout. The BBQ and bar are actually separate... that was great when the the line for food was crazy long and I just wanted a beer... service was faster at the bar. Beer was very affordable considering this is one of the only options here. This is more of a pavilion with the sides all open...a few misting fans (grab a table by one) so refreshing in this crazy heat. I ate at the BBQ twice, first time I went with the Kangaroo Loin and chicken. You are in charge of grilling your own meat. Everything you need is already set up at the grills. Plenty of space for multiple people to grill. They have a sign suggesting how long you cook things for but for the most part I went with how it looked. Included in the purchase of a meat is the all you can eat salad bar so much more than salad. Potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls, pasta, mac n cheese and desserts. So many options not sure how anyone goes hungry. Some people complain about lack of seasonings and other amenities...um hello your in the outback. You are literally grilling out in the middle of nowhere...get a grip and enjoy the experience! Music is always playing over the speakers, both nights I was there they had a live band come on. Lot 's of locals hangout here, everyone is very friendly and will start a conversation with you. They loved to hear where your from and will tell you how they ended up working in the area. Fun just kicking back with some cold beers... and try and stay cool."
