Visiting from Florida, wish I could take this whole restaurant back home with me. Delicious Ecuadorian food, from snacks to whole meals and at great prices. Friendly and kind staff. Will definitely be coming back. View all feedback.
What Christian Rodriguez doesn't like about La Esquina Ambateña:
The food is good but you call to place an order and they don't answer the same owner said one day that they are busy but it's a lie he is standing with nothing to do and can't answer that phone you have to go and stand like an idiot looking good of few friends. View all feedback.
Place isn't pretty. If you go for Bolon Mixto and encebollado is the best.
This time, I would like to put less than one star for the service and not for the waiters but for the owner of the store who was disrespectful to my wife and myself. We ordered a coffee until we waited for the table because we were in line and the very kind waiter served us the coffee but it was very hot so the waiter noticed and offered us cold milk and at this moment the owner of the place said disrespectfully that If it was hot, it should have blown because it is spending the glasses and the additional milk that it gave us to which I told him if it is for the glass, I would pay him and he told me that yes, it was $0.50 cents, how bad on the part of the owner of the establishment Putting yourself in that place of arguing with the costumers over a glass, I know you have to pay, but you shouldn 't say or comment in a bad way to my wife that she must blow the coffee. In the end, we paid for the coffee and the extra glass that he charged us, and we left the place disappointed.
Food is amazing the service though it depends on the waitress you get. There’s 2 one of them is great the other one well not so much.
I am living in NJ for the last 2 years. Of course I miss my Ecuadorian food and this place has the best one!I have invited my American and Korean friends and they love it!
It is so hard to find great Ecuadorian food. La Esquina was a small place, with great service, great portions, delectable variety, and amazing food. You won't be disappointed! I had a Yapingacho and bolòn. Next time I'm in NJ I'll try a ceviche. Great place!Vegetarian options: Same dishes, just hold the meats.Kid-friendliness: All family restaurant.
