"My hotel stay was okay. I've stayed in quite a few hotels while in Scotland, and I'm not overly picky. This however is the first time that my bathroom was outside of my room. I came with a large group, so I couldn't switch rooms. My room smelled very musty, so the hotel person brought up some Febreeze to help with the smell. The hotel staff are very polite and have been helpful. The food at the hotel was good every day. If I ever return, I would stay away from room 8 as I don't like having to leave my room to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. 3 Stars"

"The perfect spot, the food was simple but fantastic, the glass of wine was delicious and the service excellent. Enjoying the local produce with a stunning view and our pup with us was just perfection highly recommend. I actually bought a beautiful lino print of the Boathouse from the Calgary Art Gallery to remember our visit."

"ULVA is a magical place and it starts with indicating to the boatman that you want to be picked up in the small ferry boat. By sliding an indicator board to red the very friendly boatman comes over from ULVA to pick you up at the pier. A few minutes later you are on the small island of Ulva. Our first stop was the “Boathouse” restaurant cafe for coffee and cheese scones , both tasty and of good quality. A decent walk around the island followed before heading back to the “Boathouse“ for some homemade soup and bread. All very tasty again and there was a good selection of items on the menu. A really nice place to go on a beautiful island, we will definitely be back !"

"It's ok but don't expect too much. Food was decent quality pub grub. Worth bearing in mind that in this part of Mull there is not a lot of options."

"We ordered the lentil with tomato soup and roll with a slice of Pink Velvet Cake. Soup was good and café was just okay. They were out of several menu items due to crowds. They had some indoor and outdoor seating. They had enough people working there based on the size, but they seemed overwhelmed. It took about 25 minutes to ladle out 2 bowls of soup. I ended up going to the counter and picking up our order instead of waiting for the server to deliver it."

"Its a very small but well done museum. It has a small gift shop at the entrance, then the museum lies in the room behind. Entry by donation. It is small but has a lot of documents on the history of the island. If one is really interested, one can spend time reading. Certainly worthwhile to visit when in Iona."
