"I've been to Nobu Lanai a total of 3x now. Once during my visit to FSLanai last year and twice during my most recent visit to FSLanai. The yellowtail jalapeno I had here last year was probably the best version I've had at any Nobu. We ordered it again this year and while it was good, it was not as good as I remembered. Here's what I recommend getting: yellowtail jalapeno (a classic) whitefish sashimi with dry miso miso black cod (another classic) lobster tempura spicy tuna with crispy rice (i really like Nobu's take on this dish. it was fun to eat) wagyu gyoza (smoky, juicy, umami. get this) any of the maki (I really enjoyed the spicy scallop and spicy salmon maki) sashimi tacos wagyu anything Here's what I recommend skipping: creamy spicy rock shrimp tempura (I've never had Nobu's version, but I saw so many people ordering this dish and got FOMO. I regret wasting calories on this) uni (at Nobu's price points, the uni should be amazing, but the only thing I could say about it was that it was edible) most of the nigiri we had an excellent nigiri set as part of the omakase last year, but we ordered a few a la carte this year and were underwhelmed Yes, Nobu is way overpriced for what it is. You can definitely get much better sushi for less. However, if you're staying in Lanai, it's worth at least one visit for the food, views, and vibes. Pro tip: make a reservation for dinner in advance, but if you want a more casual vibe, you can walk in and sit at the bar. Heads up: the service at the bar was a bit slower."

"Although our dinner was rated from poor to fair. I would still recommend but do go with caution. We have dined there several times for both breakfast and dinner, our past experiences were excellent but last Friday night was disappointing. We waited 30 minutes before our order was taken, we had to ask for water and drink refills. Dinner stated to be served after one hour and 20 minutes. Four in our group were served and the last two came 7 minutes later. We didn’t have salt and pepper on our table. No butter on the lobster. The only dish that was served perfect was the roast pork the other five dishes lacked flavor. We spoke to the manager and expressed our disappointment which he gave us his apology and a brief explanation. I will go back but I look for current reviews."

"I don't understand the bad reviews, but our visits were wonderful! they have a lot of baked and coffee options for a quick breakfast as well as cocktails. we stopped twice, once for breakfast and then another time after the beach we wanted to enjoy a cocktail. the seating areas with the tw are wonderful and the staff was great. my man ordered the cocktail of the queen and said he enjoyed it. it was a hot day that was so friendly warm, but otherwise cooler spot."

"This is a lovely poolside location with a killer view of the ocean. The menu is interesting and the food is very good and very fresh. There are innovative cocktails and juice drinks. The service was attentive and helpful. We each had an ice cream sandwich for desert and traded pieces so we each got to try different flavors. What a great ending to a beautiful meal. A great experience"
