The grilled pastrami sandwich was mediocre and the fries were really greasy. Coffee was awful but about par for restaurants in Gallup.

"When we stopped into the Oasis Mediterranean Restaurant, we were a little confused about the parking situation. There are about 10 spots, but they’re very tight and in between some cement dividers with a half wall at one end. It looks like it used to be a drive-in fast food joint, and we got the last spot in the parking lot because they were packed. That was a good sign, and we were excited to see what was on the menu. Everything looked delicious, and while they aren’t a vegan restaurant they had a lot of vegan options. Munchkin enjoyed her pita and hummus, while hubby and I each enjoyed a bowl of their lentil soup. Hubby also got a falafel sandwich, while I got a side of falafel that I dipped in some of munchkin’s hummus. Everything was delicious, and we even took some leftovers with us for the road. (It turns out that a local alumni group was having a meeting, hence the crowded parking lot. Although, I’m pretty sure they picked the spot for the delicious food. "Wonderful authentic Mexican) native foods. I had breakfast. So glad McDonald had a long distance. My daughter reminded me that we had praised not eating the same food as at home. I'm glad I took her advice."

"We went for just the gelato, and it was really good. Creamy, not too sweet, lots of interesting flavors. For Halloween they had very imaginative names for some of the flavors, but the staff was very understanding about explaining them to us when we asked. I had the Witch 's Brew which was a pistachio with chocolate chips, and the chips were good quality chocolate, and the flavor of the pistachio was good and strong. The smells of their other offerings were very tempting, but we 'd already had dinner that night. We 'll go there for the whole meal next time."

"Service was so slow and the waitresses are so rude and unfriendly. i do however appreciate the manager for talking to one of the staff that was tending to us. although she continued to ignore our table for the remainder of our seating. the food was tasty however its the attitude of the employees that makes your experience sour. "This is Mexican food, NOT New Mexican As spicy as you want it, fresh salsa, lots of chips! I always pick a booth and enjoy eating here. "Ordered 4 crunchy Tacos , 2 Cinnamon Twist and a small coke. We went thru the Drive Thru and we had 3 more vehicles in front of us. (This is during our 1-hour lunch). It felt like we waited the whole hour for our food. But it was 30 mins. Food was Good though. But I did notice that the customers inside were looking just as frustrated as we were. "

"Badlands Grill is always sure to be visited on my yearly New Mexico vacation. The Black Dahlia, a ribeye topped with a brandy cream sauce, is spectacular. Also for those who love hot and spicy food, you can dare to request a ramekin of Ghost Pepper pureé to put on top of your steak. They have great wine selections too. A definite must visit if you're in the Gallup area!"
