"I cannot say enough about how cute this coffee house is! The coffee was superb, tea was comforting, and the rhubarb sourdough muffin was absolutely out of this world. "Just came down from Homer to celebrate my wedding anniversary and this was the best meal and experience I have had in years! All the employees were so attentive and amazing! The food was perfect! "This is a very unique restaurant experience in Seward. It is definitely spendy but the food is gourmet delectable albeit smaller portions. There were five in our party, service was prompt and personable. It was a special event for us so we worked our way fully through the appetizers, entres, wines, and shared a couple deserts. Every course was unique and full of flavor. It truly was a remarkable evening for us. Personally, due to the cost we aren't able to eat here often though we wish we could. But if you're looking for the best seafood and unique flavors while in Seward, then this is the place. One note: If coming in the summer, you should book reservations now. This place fills up quickly."

"Visiting Seward for the first time and got to try this place out for breakfast with my mom. I ordered the breakfast burrito smothered in sausage gravy. 1000/10. It was thick, juicy, fulfilling and delicious. The potatoes were seasoned so deliciously, I could've ate them alone! Def good for sharing! The strawberry mint lemonade was delicious but a little pricy to pay $5 for something so small. My mom got the French toast which came with sausage and eggs. Their sausage tasted home made??? Like, they have their own seasoning and mushed it together! Highly recommend this place! They have a patio in the back that had tables under some shade! Super cute to see the old trains"

"It was the only open restaurant we could find on a Saturday morning in November. We entered through the boutique. All kinds of unique Alaskan local gifts and trinkets. The next space was a wide open seating area and cafe. We were invited to go upstairs for sit down service. The stairs leading up are beautiful. Their entire space is Seward unique and warm. You must dine upstairs. We sat in a cute little window where we watched many eagles come and go. The best vibes for such a wet, slushy day. Our waitress was the best. She definitely knew the menu and made great suggestions. It was our first time trying Italian Wedding Soup. It had meatballs and pasta and wow, it was everything we needed after a long night of champagne and hot tubing. We also ordered their rice bowl with added steak and their meat eater toast. We washed it all down with a few brews on tap. The best unexpected brunch, thank you Mermaid's Grotto! Can't wait to return to try their King Crab deviled eggs. Mermaid's Grotto is a must when in Seward!"
