Los Tapatios Taco Shop - Universal City

One of our regular spots, definitely love coming here for the birria tacos. Ive also tried the soup not a big fan but it’s still not bad if you really enjoy ramen. Staff is nice and the owners are very friendly. There have been changes to the menu and prices but that’s just about everywhere so can’t hold that against them. I used them to cater at a party two months ago and everyone enjoyed the food, the owners were even kind enough to offer to make some rice and beans as sides. Give this place a try if you have been considering it or in the area

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in San Antonio in a very long time!!! Eat inside, eat outside or order to go it’s soooooo good!!! The owner is super nice!!

Me and my boyfriend used to come here when they first opened and it was an amazing and great place to eat so we went like every other month, but sadly this most recent visit is the most disappointing one yet. The tacos were super small with little to no meat and also no cheese, they cut half of the stuff off the menu and still don't make the one thing they have left right anymore. Truly disappointing hope they go back to the way they were!

Maybe I’m just spoiled by Birria Barrio but the birria here is not as good as I was hoping for. Or good at all really.Decided to give it a try tonight and was very disappointed. There was barely any meat in the tacos and the tortillas were very soggy. Very bland consommé. Meat had no flavor. Next time we will be holding out until Birria Barrio is open. On a side note the customer service was great.

Birria Barrio is closed on Monday and Tuesday so we went here, the tacos were soggy, barley cooked at all and there was barley any meat on the Birria tacos. The consume was pretty bland but the salsa was actually decent, pretty spicy. I will gladly drive 30+ minutes across town to my favorite Birria spot, bummer. The service was really good though.
