that was nice to eat. Unfortunately we went to dinner so we didn't try to get that cool sampler plate that is only interested in those. we tried the kabob sampler that was delicious, but a little expensive for what was served. cauliflower manchurian bezule was ordered as recommended by the server well. we also had the old delhi butter huh, tanjore lamb chop masala, and lamb shahi kirman all that we enjoyed enough and... What User doesn't like about Turmeric:
Turmeric offers the best Indian cuisine in the greater St. Louis area, hands down. As someone who is well-versed in Indian food, I can confidently say that no other restaurant compares to Turmeric. Their fusion dishes are incredibly delicious, and their cocktails are both affordable and flavorful. In my opinion, Turmeric could easily compete with some of the top Indian restaurants in Chicago. A definite must-try! View all feedback.
We have only been here twice but we love this place. The food is phenomenal. I highly recommend the samosas, chicken curry special, garlic Naan, and lambs Masala. The service we have had both times has been incredible. We will absolutely be back! 10/10 recommend you check this pace out if you have an affinity to Indian
Great interior and good server. Food is flavourful but more so average than outstanding. Nonetheless, one of the best Indian restaurants in University City.Vegetarian options: Variety of vegetarian options. Diary product based such as paneer but also vegetable curry, etc.Wheelchair accessibility: Right by the Delmar street easily accessible by wheelchair. Table settings available to accommodate wheelchair.Dietary restrictions: Be sure to inform them about any allergy beforehand.
As a huge fan of Indian cuisine it’s always nice to find another location that exceeds expectations. The atmosphere is charming and our server was attentive. The food came out promptly and exactly how we ordered. When I go to Indian establishments I always get the chicken tikka kebab. I didn’t see it on the menu here so I got the lollipop chicken. I’m cursed with the cilantro gene that makes it taste like poison so I always order “no cilantro”. To my dismay the lollipop chicken was actually marinated with it but I honestly couldn’t taste it much over the other flavors so that was a huge bonus. The chicken itself tasted fresh and of high quality with that signature Indian blend of spices. 8.4/10 clucks. This place is not better than my all time favorite Indian eatery, Flavors Indian Cuisine, but I would still recommend it.
Turmeric on Delmar Blvd, despite its appealing menu and charming ambiance, fails in delivering a satisfactory dining experience due to poor customer service. The two male servers taking orders exhibited a dismissive attitude, their rudeness casting a shadow over the culinary delights. Unfortunately, their lack of hospitality turned a potentially pleasant evening into an uncomfortable encounter. While the food was decent, the unwelcoming demeanor made the overall experience less enjoyable. Turmeric has potential, but unless they address the issue of poor customer service, the tasty food remains overshadowed by the bitter aftertaste of disrespect. It appears that they need a pinch of kindness and respect added to their recipe for success.
