"My search for a great Philly cheesesteak led me to Jersey Mike?s today. I arrived over the lunch hour and the line was nearly to the door. Staff were obviously well trained and worked quickly to get everyone through. I ordered a large standard cheesesteak sandwich for my daughter and I to split and a regular chicken Philly with bacon and ranch for my other daughter, a small bag of Cheetos, and drank water for a total of $24.00. The large sandwich is approximately 12 inches long with a substantial amount of meat with melted provolone, onions, and green peppers. The melted provolone and juice from the meat drip down your chin as you attempt to devour it and the rosemary bread was perfectly toasted. This was the closest I have found to the real deal in Iowa and I will definitely be back for more."

"The Coup de gras after I ran the Des Moines Marathon: I went down to see Dirt Burger in downtown Des Moines. What I got was the best veggie burger no, the best BURGER I ever had. Why? It was muddy and savory, saucy and full of different textures. It was a perfect mouth. Like a big Mac, only without the disappointing patty and bread in the middle. I know you'll say I forgot and taste like meat. No. I know for some people the ideal burger is a meat patty with fat that runs down your arm. I understand. I have preferred a veggie burger, and I think that is more interesting with many impractical tastes, and it's health food except that with so many whole food ingredients it is somehow. But it felt really exhausting for me, especially when I recommended it with their real potato frits and the tiger sauce the staff. And she was right. As they once said on my beloved show boss! with Lenny Henry, I never had a liquid as good as in my life. They had vegan shakes that looked absolutely amazing, but I had no one to share, and I knew that I would be in pain after I had everything in... I'm funny too, but I had a granola in the hotel room I was pretty excited about. Anyway, all this and gluten-free as I ordered it on the GF reel. The staff was also incredibly friendly. I'm seriously jealous that Iowa has this joint, but it's all for the best as I would win 5 lb a week if this place was on the street."

"Our first visit was today. The best part was the food I liked both the Chicken Corn Taco and Chicken Wrap (served with smokey BBQ sauce). The taste was great for both of them and both were served with generous portions of cheese. The chips were good, but the guacamole was average at best to my taste. Beyond the food, be prepared for an average fast food experience with no table service. You wait in line to place your order at the counter, then wait for your number tobe called and pick up your food at the counter. The restaurant was clean but basic and the men 's rest room appeared to have no heat...was very cold on this cold day. "I contacted the store manager Tonia about catering food for our graduation. She was absolutely wonderful and bent over backwards to help. We ended up ordering through the Asian department, with her help, and she went and personally checked in on our order to make sure it was accurate. She did this more than once. The manager from the Asian department was phenomenal, too. The food was hot and fresh and we received great feedback at the party. We had such a great experience we will share it with everyone and will use this Hyvee again. Thank you Tonia!!"

"The pizza here is really good, but had a long wait. my pizza was burned when I showed up and said I had to wait 10-12 minutes after I showed up. pizza was not ready for another 30. eating is always good and I think it was just one night waiting, but many people waited in this night for a while."
