"El Huacatay was recommended by our hotel and it was our best dinner in the Sacred Valley. We sat in the garden. We started with appetizers and they were delicious. The mushroom ravioli was great. The alpaca main was delicious. One of us had the parts which was very good. Another had fish that was great. This was not fast food but the wait was not unreasonable. The service was excellent. I wish we had found it sooner so we could have gone back."

"Hôtel vraiment magnifique avec un décoration sublime. Le restaurant est donc lui aussi un endroit très agréable où dîner.Personnel très agréable. Les plats sont beaux et bien dressés. Chaque plat est très savoureux.Le menu enfant est aussi bienvenu car il est rare dans ce pays.Nous avons passé une excellente soirée."

"Great dinner after a long day at Machu Picchu. We went here directly from the train station and enjoyed pisco sours and chicha (purple corn drink) with pineapple. All of the food was delicious, but the alpaca ravioli was especially delightful. Very friendly staff."

"It is not often that I give terrible ratting but this one is well deserved. First we waited over 15 min to order (only 3 more tables), then we were told that we can't get the combo of salad and soup as there is no soup (while one of the other tables was getting soup). Maybe the combos are just for lunch!!! We ended up ordering a toasted sandwich and a salad - both were very disappointing (portion size, quality, all). Then we managed to wait 10 min to pay the bill and the owner/ cook kept on running around to find change for the couple trying to pay in front of us. Hence we had to even leave involuntary tip. Overall lots and lots things must improve!!!"
