"We went into this restaurant at lunchtime to make a group booking for dinner. We were told that was no problem. Called to.confirm the reservation later that day; again, no problem. Showed up minutes early for our booking, were told the table wasn't ready...yet and could we have a drink around the corner to wait (we were told we couldn't wait in the restaurant). That was fine, so we went to get a drink elsewhere. Came back minutes later to find that they had given our table away to a group who walked in about seconds before us (who did not seem to have a reservation). The staff did nothing about this and did not offer to seat us anywhere else, including at separate tables which were available (and which we would have taken despite splitting our group). Awkward and uncomfortable for everyone, including the new group who had been seated at our table. After the staff left us still waiting with no explanation, we decided to go elsewhere and ended up at Isabel (which was delicious and great value). The food at Kuar looked good (when I saw plates passing us) but the service was so rubbish I couldn't recommend it to anybody else. Maybe if you just walked in it would be okay (assuming you could get a table)."
