"A quick business lunch was required ahead of an afternoon session so we decided that some autumnal fresh air would liven the senses so hot footed it from our hotel base to this local American Diner. Slightly out of character with it’s surroundings is a...protruding wooden cabin advertising a welcoming selection of American style comfort foods with Burgers taking centre stage but typical wing men [like Mac Cheese] in close attendance. We chose from the extensive options from the burgers section and I scanned the other seated guests to see if anyone had chosen the triple so I could see what worth of burger looked like. Our resident Oregon team member chose the “Heart Attack” which, once it arrived, obviously had a dual aspect; food, sustenance and food jenga potential! Suffice to say that even with extensive US background in volume consumption he was beaten by said Heart attack stack. My local colleague [Northeim resident] and I chose the middle ground and went for a Chilli Cheese Burger and our other german colleague chose a simple base burger and fries. All of us professed ourselves impressed with the quality of the burgers which were all first rate beef; though I was mildly disappointed at the content of Chilli in the Chilli Cheese but that was a minor blemish. The restaurant itself with it’s central bar and surrounding booths, walls emblazoned with American memorabilia, does a really good job of replicating it’s american cousins and comes across as a great little diner. There are lots of motorbike references [including a fully populated magazine rack of biking publications] but no inference that the atmosphere is ever sullied negatively by bikers that may make up most of it’s weekend clientele. Service was great and attentive and food was cooked fresh but we not left to wait too long. It was healthily populated, with probably half of all the covers with locals in situ, when we visited and I came away contented that it had ticked all of the requisite boxes; short hop from our hotel base, quality beef, quick service, very reasonable bill at the end and a great pocketed atmosphere. Fine dining it ain’t but it fits,perfectly, the bill as a family friendly eatery or swift business lunch haunt and I could be easily convinced it must be packed of a summer weekend. Try it!"

"The ambience was on point, very welcoming and really fitting and not overcharged. There was even an extra table for dog owners. The selection was scary at the beginning, I thought too big. ABER ne, the quality was extremely good despite the amount of dishes, many homemade sauces and refinements. The way the court was executed was really good and all at a very good price. The service was very friendly, funny and personally took care of one. The waiting times were for what you got, more than fine and really fast. I can recommend this place to anyone who is once or more in woodminds and is hungry:"
