On our way to the Madone d'Utelle ( altitude 1174 m) where a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains ``was waiting for us`` we stopped at the Martinon. It is located uphill with a nice view on the village of Utelle, it was quiet at that beginning of the touristic season, the somehow local french cuisine is tasty and generous, we particularly liked their very special ravioli. I have eaten here with the hiking group lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised by the plentiful amounts of food and the friendly service
good dishes and wee for a fair price all under the shadow of a gigantic plantree in a quiet environment. also is a hotel with pool, highly recommended.
