The restaurant of the Sanctuary of the Madonna is first intended for pilgrims, but it welcomes everyone... on a very recommended reservation if I understood correctly it does not open every day. Unique menu (the grincheux will say that the choice is missing) at prices challenging any competition, simple and good family cuisine. The hike to the Madonna d'Utelle is pleasant to do in good weather without being too sunny because the path is very scary. The panorama is fantastic when you arrive at the sanctuary that is unfortunately not open. This hike does not have significant difficulties; think about taking water and dried fruit. Beautiful view over the mountains. The chapel was closed because there is a dispute between the owner of the cafe next to it and an owner of a cafe in the next village. The owner of the cafe next to the chapel therefor cannot open and explore the chapel, so its closed...very bad for everyone who makes the trip all the way to the top for so see the chapel. So dont go up if i want to see the inside of the chapel because its closed!

Absolutely beautiful and stunning scenery in every direction. Brilliant on a clear day with wonderful views of the Alps. Well worth the sometimes difficult drive to the peak
The Madone itself is not very special. But the view of the mountains is astonishing! This is worth the trip alone. When descending to Utelle village. You must stop and visit the church of St. Veran. It's an amazing church, so very beautiful!
Beautiful views and landscapes. Calm and restful, accompanied by a grazing herd. Very rotating road and sometimes very narrow.
