"We had an awesome time here for my birthday. A generously portioned 8 course traditional Italian meal will have you stuffed and with plenty of delicious leftovers to take home and enjoy another meal. The owner, Dan, was our host, the excellent chef, as well as our server, and all with a fun sarcastic sense of humor. We were informed ahead of time to bring our own drinks which was odd but good advice. Reservations are required and at least a couple weeks in advance is recommended. You'll enjoy it more if you are Right minded....crazy libs should probably pass. Don't worry about the spartan ambiance as the amazing quality and quantity of food will leave you more than satisfied. You also can't beat the price for all that you get. This is truly a gem that we'll be sure to come back for."

"That was my first experience with an uplying cake and I loved it. The crust was dense; somehow chew and crispy at the same time. You couldn't see the paprika, but you could certainly taste its taste. When the cake is served, it appears uncut. But it's actually perfectly cut, so it's super easy to grab a piece without slipping away anything. The sauce, sprinkled with grated cheese, is tasteful. And you should try the finely ground hot pepper flakes. ... The building seems a little sketched, but who cares? It's downtown Utica. Didn't expect a palace. The two men behind the counter were efficient if not exactly warm and cuddly. The pricing is a shadow high, but not worthy of a legitimate complaint. The pizzeria has been working for more than 100 years, so it is quite obvious that people behind the business know what they are doing. Nothing fantastic, except taste."

"I saw some negative reviews before we went, so little worried. But it was a great experience! They serve COLD bread. That’s how they’re supposed to be. Refrigerated cold, they were delicious!! Salad has heavy garlic, which is tasty. Service was very quick, right BEFORE we finish appetizer, they brought food. Actually we didn’t have to wait at all throughout."

"The food was plentiful. The service was fast and efficient. The diner was clean and we all had a great place to eat. We are a group of 15 on vacation. We came to the diner after Bible Class. Most of the kids are a breakfast item. The adults (all but one) ordered lunch items, and we were all satisfied. The lemon, blueberry french toast was amazing. The Greek burger was a mouthful. The wrap was good. The Blondie sandwich was good too."

"My daughter and I had a fabulous dinner on Saturday evening. Patrick, our server, was friendly, informative and attentive. He was fabulous! The food was superb! Every plate is appetizer size (may be doubled if you'd like), so we ordered a variety off the menu. Everything was so very fresh and beautifully presented. Highly recommend Tailor and the Cook. We will definitely be back!"

"Ancora is always a great experience. The cocktails are perfect, the greens cooked to perfection (not over cooked, overly moist, not too much breading to soak up whatever), I ordered the Bistro style Chicken and it wa me excellent juicy tender. The flavor/seasoning was great. The potatoes were really good the flavor excellent would 've like them a bit crisp but they were still good. I ordered tiramisu for dessert. It was a nice light ending to a large meal. The chocolate ice cream was A . Definitely one of my favorite places to go to. It 's actually probably 'my ' first choice! My husband always orders paella and loves it. We also ordered calamari which was great although I prefer it slightly seasoned more but others in my group prefer it this way. It 's still certainly amazing. Service was a little slower than usual but it was New Year 's Eve and rather busy. It 's a bit noisy and seating a bit crowded but it won 't keep me from going there."
