"Fantastic evening, we had the floorless dinner for our friends. the personal was attentive and friendly, especially josh, he was fantastic and made us so welcome. really amazing value for money and excellent eating. my only criticism is that there are more possibilities for those who are gluten-free. but overall a brilliant evening!"

"We have been using Maharaja for 3 years now and it has always been a very tasty meal for a very good value. We always order the set meal for two, you get lots of food and it's all so yum! We have recommended many people to this Indian and every single one of them have always been very happy with the food and service. We moved just under a year ago but still continue to use them as they are by far the best Indian takeaway we have found!"

"We have recently moved to Ongar in January and tried the local Indians. Spice Masala is by far the best one! We get this takeaway every weekend without fail: never ever had a bad meal. The best Indian takeaway I have had in my life, the flavours and salt/sugar levels are spot on. Very very well done. deserve a pat on the back!"

"I love this restaurant, haven't been for a while, came for tea Love the new decor The meal itself was a bit of a let down , my favourites have gone off the menu. We ordered a starter to share it was fantastic 10/10 I ordered a chicken and mushroom dish as a main it was served luke warm so I asked if they could heat it up for me which the server did, I like mushrooms but I didn't like getting a mouthful of grit with every mouthful, was very disappointed) as we have eaten here many times and never had a disappointing meal before Next time I visit Bishop Stortford I will return but just not order that dish Staff were great as always"
