"This place was one of our favorite finds in Cost Rica. We walked in without a reservation and the place was full but one of their staff, Eliam, was kind enough to offer us a seat in the wine room which was air conditioned and not a bad option at all. In fact, we went with his recommendations for the night. For starters we had the tuna tataki — thick slabs of some of the freshest tuna we’ve ever had, perfectly done and topped with mango and red onion which went super well with the Japanese soy. Then we ordered 2 rolls: The diablo roll’s tempura style breading was perfectly done just the right thickness of batter and super crispy. The whole roll was a perfect medley of textures and flavors jalapeño, eel sauce, cream cheese, avocado… yum! The paradise roll really surprised me — the avocado, mango and salmon was mixed with beetroot sauce which gave some sweetness and then had a small piece of lime on top which gave the acidity but also a bit of bitter (because of the skin) — it was the perfect bite! Everything was enhanced even more by the wasabi. To be honest, we started out a bit skeptical about having sushi but were intrigued because clearly the seafood would be fresh. The quality of the food definitely did not disappoint, but what really made this place stand out was that they understood the concept of sushi as a dish but inserted a very local flavor profile and the fusion was fantastic. On top of that the service was top notch and the place had a great vibe to it. We spent a total of US$50, which We are looking to come back to try the other dishes too."

"I think people come here for the drinks mostly. No locals in site either. I ordered steak fajitas cooked medium to be safe, the flavors were there but half way through the meal my stomach started cramping so I paid and left; I threw up and felt a lot better. The two pieces of steak were tough and one was cooked rare and the other medium well. Heard other people talking about how great the drinks were. I felt the service was good. Would not return."

"Had one of the speciality pizzas i think it was meat lovers? contained pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red peppers, and we asked for no onions. I really liked that they filled it with all the toppings however for me particularly I don’t like my pizza so thin. It was so thin at the bottom that it got so soggy quick. Other than that it was an overall good pizza spot. We paid $36 for the large pizza. We also had a chocolate eclair I think that’s what it’s called) that dessert was yummy!"

"The Indómitos restaurant is so delicious. There is a lot of choice for people who have celiac disease. They have gluten free bread that is so delicious! Even the fruit bowls are gluten free. Also there are different salads, tacos, burgers falafel plates with hummus. I have been here on vacation we have been to this restaurant 5-6 times. The staff is so friendly it has a great atmosphere."

"Great little local soda, huge portions and the best fries we had in CR! We had casado with fish in garlic sauce and rice with chicken, both meals were great. Decent price comparing to other places in the area. The service was kind and fast, we definitely recommend!"
