Although booking was recommended we arrived early 18.45. Plenty of tables reserved but also plenty available. Service was excellent as was the food We both had garlic prawns and spicy goat. Not spicy as in heat but cardamom. Very tasty. Carrots and cauliflower were hard but the potatoes and beans good. Before starters arrived had lovely fresh bread and Canarian sauces. What Hjtrav doesn't like about El Palmar:
Really disappointed. The waitress hardly acknowledged us, no chat, no welcome, merely basic service . The food was ok , cuttlefish a bit tough but eatable , curtains drawn back so we could see the sun set, but no ambiance from the owners, nor any effort to make our dinner memorable .
