el puente is a restaurant in a small town called valor, in las alpujarras, a place in the southern part of Spain. here I ate a court of cheese, migas alpujarreñas (a typical dish of the region) and kabeljau. very interesting place to eat...and to enjoy with local culture and people. "An absolutely glorious sunny day, very hard to believe that it is ende november. we drove up from the coast to the mountains, along very winding roads with spectacular views of rocky, hurly rivers and waterfalls, end up high up in the city of trevelez, famous for its sink. the hams hang on hooks in any available deck in the whole city. we sat on an outside table in this friendly restaurant and had a simple lunch sample of delicious ham and a sturdy suppe of lenses, chorizo, kartoffel and sweet. the people at the nearby tables were enthusiastic about eating and the employees took time to talk to everyone."
