We also had a serving of mango ice cream for dessert and that was good.... View all feedback. What Brendon Kihn likes about Akbar's Own Dining Lounge:
We've been on the road for two months traveling through the United States and often good ethnic food is hard to find. Landing in Vancouver we vowed to seek it out and Akbar's was our choice. read moreAkbar's in Vancouver offers a mix of experiences to its diners. Some diners found the main meals lacking in quality, while others were blown away by the succulent Lamb Vindaloo and flavorful vegetarian thali. The atmosphere is pleasant, service is warm, prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. The restaurant boasts mouth-watering East Indian flavors, gluten-free options, and a varied wine list with affordable prices. Overall, Akbar's seems to be a hit among those seeking traditional and authentic Indian cuisine in Vancouver.
Really good flavours and fairly decent portion compared to others I e tried esp for $17 versus the standard $22
