"The food is very good to be honest. I have dined many times already but I decide I will not go again any more.First, I was parking my car when my friend carrying a 10 months old baby lining up at 5pm sharp. My friend requested to get a table first and feed his starving baby. The waitress won't let them in because they said the whole group didn't fully arrive yet. Come on I was parking my car with 3-5 min delays, why can't they be reasonable or kindness to let us get a table and feed the baby first???Second, we have been told there is limited dining time until 6pm while I saw a few 2 people tables and 4 people tables occupied by 1 person only. I know lots of people lining up already but it could be better if they can operate the restaurant more effectively.Third, I ordered a large assorted set for me and my wife, and a soup udon set for my 2 5 and 6 years old kids. Then the waitress said there is a minimum charge and forced me to order more.I love eating Japanese food and admire Japanese culture. This is the worse Japanese dining experience I have ever had in my entire life."

"Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the food. But this was an amazing culinary experience. All the flavours were super balance. The textures and the quality of the ingredients were on point. The service was informal, fast and friendly. I think that was over priced but it was worth it, we got to eat outside. It was nice that the restaurant is not on the main street so we had a quieter experience and the portions were generous. So far this is the only restaurant in Vancouver that I have given a four star review for whatever that is worth. I will be going back to this place 100% for sure. I had the Shawarma and we had another bowl which I don’t recall with rice noodles that was really good too."

"Went to Kokomo to try out their plant-based creamsicle milkshake. It was incredible both in flavour and in price at $12. I chased that with a buffalo wrap which didn?t disappoint either. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was very clean. Pricy health-food spot but you get what you pay for!"

"Just absolutely AMAZIG!!We waited for more than an hour, and I was like how good could it be, but it worth any wait!Staff were super friendly and professional, our server Mimi was lovely, checked on us multiple times, super helpful and just great!The food was phenomenal! Loved my drink (pick me up). Every dish we ordered was super delicious and unique."

"This Nuba Gastown is the worst place we have ever been. It is nothing like the Nuba Yaletown. We waited 20 mins before finally getting served. Don’t know her name she was friendly, but seemed like a deer caught in headlights. She took our order which was hummus and pita appy, dinner was a Grilled Mixed Mezze for 2 people. Also a bottle of Rose’ which was the bright spot of our dinner. We got all our food before even getting our wine which came 5 mins later. Waitress did a disappearing act after we got our wine. I don’t mind pouring my own wine, but the whole dinner. She finally came by at the end of meal asking how it was, told her a grilled meal means it comes out hot or at least warm. Says I’ll tell someone. You would think a manger would come by and say sorry. Nope. Travis was a waiter serving other tables and realized we were not be looked after. So he took it upon himself to help us out.if anyone reads this and choses to try this place make sure you ask for Travis as I noticed he really looks after his tables. It seemed to us our food was served from a buffet or was leftovers sent from the other Nuba’s which are in high end neighbourhoods. We chose this one because it was close to Queen ElizabethTheater before the play. This is the first bad review I have ever done. I don’t like doing it, but if no one comes too ask or apologies then this is the only way to get point out to NUBA Gastown. ."
