Go, Go, Go....... We were worried it would be crowded, and I'm sure it was later in the evening, but on a rainy Saturday afternoon we had the place to ourselves, except for the wonderful owner, and fantastic kitchen staff. Bacon wrapped Prunes with cheese, a heavenly Tuna with orange on an avocado mousse, fried peppers, iberian ham & Manchego, every plate that came out of the kitchen was amazing. Off the wall amazing! My husband (the pickiest eater ever) loved everything! Our waiter was stellar! Over all best I’ve had in tapas is Vancouver!...
This is our favourite spot! Must order: Garlic Prawns, mushrooms, patatas bravas and paella!

read moreThe Sardine Can offers a cozy, authentic Spanish tapas experience in Vancouver. The small space accommodates about 20 guests, with a charming decor and friendly staff. While the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, the quality of the food receives high praise. Highlights include the tasty sardines, spicy prawns, mushrooms in sherry, and well-done paella. Vegetarian options are abundant, making it ideal for group dining. Although the absence of a coffee option is a downside, the overall experience with delicious food, good wine, and passionate service makes this spot a must-visit for tapas lovers.

Came here with a group of friends to do some restaurant hopping and try out different bars in the Gastown area.
