What Paul Prosacco doesn't like about Shizen Ya:
Our family loves sushi. But to love Shizen Ya you must also love brown rice because all rolls use brown rice. While the experience was friendly, the premises neat and tidy, here's the bottom line: if you love sushi and you love brown rice, this restaurant is for you. If not, move on to the many other sushi options around. View all feedback. What Théophile Perrin likes about Shizen Ya:
This has easily become our favourite sushi place in Vancouver. The servers are lovely and welcoming. Complimentary green tea is given once seated. Price is extremely reasonable for such good quality, fresh and flavourful sushi. Our go-to meals are the Vegetable Udon Noodle Soup with gluten-free brown rice noodles, and the Geisha Girl Roll, cannot go wrong with this combo! Would recommend to any sushi lover! read moreShizen Ya is not your typical sushi restaurant - it prides itself on being the first natural food Japanese restaurant chain in North America to serve sushi with only brown rice and organic vegetables. The menu offers a unique selection of dishes, such as Chirashi Don and Sakura Blossom Roll, all made with fresh ingredients. Priced slightly higher than other sushi joints, the quality of the food justifies the cost. For sushi lovers looking for something different and healthy, Shizen Ya is definitely worth a visit. The overall experience is welcoming and the servers are friendly, making it a great option for those looking for quality Japanese food in Vancouver.
