I’ve surprisingly never been to The Flying Pig even though they have two other locations (Gastown and Olympic Village). Finally made it out for happy hour in Yaletown!. A few specials they had that evening. We dropped in on an early Thursday evening (around 5:00pm). People were already taking advantage of happy hour which is weekdays (3:00pm to 6:00pm) and weekends (4:00pm to 6:00pm). View all feedback.

As a young couple visiting Vancouver for the weekend the flying pig grabbed our attention for the positive reviews it had. As we entered the restaurant we seemed to be looked down upon for being younger. The waiter we had was rude my partner asked for a gimlet made with pineapple juice and instead got a lecture of how a traditional gimlet was made and started offering alternatives, I asked for a drink not a full drin... Came for happy hour and the salmon cake and wings were delicious. Good prices and servings. Servers were attentive and friendly. The outside seats they have were also very beautiful.
Great place, one of my favorites in Yaletown. Unpredictable atmosphere with excellent food served by great people. Shout to Mike on the front as well as our server Rachel, they both made the experience top notch. Will definitely be back.
This place was amazing. We were lucky to come early without reservation before the busy dinner rush began. The service was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. The squid was incredible, not overcrowded and beautiful large pieces. They have very nice, large portions for meals. Very recommended.
We we were on the wait list for a table of 8, they called and said there was a cancelation, and we were glad to take the spot. So many great starter dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meals, staff was efficient and really nice. Drinks were cold and kept coming ; . Overall, we highly recommend this place. Must try.
Did Happy Hour before work and it was great. Service was good and the food was excellent. The Paella spices were perfect. We ordered some deals and off the main menu. Delicious your chef know their tastes and flavours.
