What Astrid Rivera doesn't like about Meson Las Rocas:
On Sept 22, 2016 we were having dinner in Meson Sarracin and a group of 6 blind people and two guide dogs came into the restaurants. We were horrified on the terrible treatment these poor blind pilgrims got in the restaurant, the women owner came shouting at them in front of everyone with no consideration for anyone, that they had to leave and that they would not serve them food. No kind no frendly discriminate against others contry people
We had a lovely meal here having been recommended it by the lady at our B&B. While we had been warned to go early we arrived to a full house around 8pm and were told it would be 30 mins for a table but we're fitted in much sooner than that. The food was fresh, rustic local to the area and very generous portions. We had plenty of wine and water and expected the bill for the four of us off the Pilgrim menu to be €40 and more for the extra wine but we're only charged €35 as my wife only had a main course. While they appeared to be closing e asked if we could stay for a drink and were told no problem. We had a creation of a G&T with frozen raspberries and lemon rind and two brandies for less than €10. Fabulous family run restaurant and one of our best meals on the Camino, highly recommended.
