L'Ambroisie - Vence

Calm and delicious food. They take care of every bit in the food combination. I go there every summer and really enjoy it.

This is our 5th year to enjoy the cuisine at the restaurant and we were definitely not disappointed. A very gracious couple run the restaurant and the fish on this visit was particularly good. The amuse bouche almost a souppe de poisson was a great starter . The wine complimented each course and the cheeses plate was excellent . Don’t miss this experience the next time you are in Vence.

We had high expectations of this restaurant after having read other reviews but our experience here made us wonder if we had visited the same place. When you name a restaurant after the food of the gods, it has a lot to live up to and our experience suggests that there is still far to go. The room is lovely but the atmosphere is somewhat cool. We found the food to be very disappointing. Most of the dishes lacked flavour and seasoning and the quality of the lamb we were served was very poor. I really question their decision to serve wines by the glass from the dispensing system they have chosen. The wines we tasted were poor imitations of their full bottled counterparts. It’s a gimmick that left us unimpressed. So while others have clearly enjoyed their experience here, we found it overpriced and disappointing.

Wonderful restaurant in Vence which we highly recommend. The food, wines and service is excellent. We had the 3 course menu and a bottle of wine. The service is top class and each course was beautifully presented. Eat here, you won’t be disappointed.

The dishes particularly refined from the aperitif to the dessert the cooking of the fish was perfect (the back of the bar = fabulous)Original flavors the service was efficient, discreet and warm prices are really correct compared to the quality of the dishes and the servicebravo and thanks for this gourmet evening
