Visits for lunch 11th October 2020. the place is very welcoming and the service was super- but it was stupid expensive for what we got. I have a small mixed plate with some ham and cheese wedges and 2 small pieces bruschetta. husband got...gnocchi kids got spaghetti bolognese and fret to share. we ordered a water, 2 koks and man got a medium beer. 75 euro. absolutely ridiculous. there was nothing strange about eating... Wonderful service, beautiful hidden garden patio, excellent fresh pasta. More menu variety than other touristy spots. This is a hidden gem, definitely stop by when you are in Venice!
Lovely attentive waiter Angelo, who made the experience very lovely. We sat in the lovely outside garden and cannot fault the warm welcome and lovely pizza.. It was lovely to share with my lovely friends. A hidden gem .
I'm going to talk about the worst dining experience I had in Italy. This restaurant fails in every possible way. Starting with the false advertising, a sign on the street offered two bruschettas for €5, but it ended up costing €18 PER PERSON. Simply ridiculous for such poor quality. Then we got to the main dishes, which were absolutely flavorless and poorly prepared, a disservice to the city of Venice. We politely paid the full bill, including the service charge, even though it was undeserved. They were somewhat nice to us, but in the end, they acted with bad intentions. The place had the potential to be beautiful, but it was at least weird. When going to the bathroom, there was someone lying on the floor of the establishment (not sure if it was an employee or not), which is inappropriate in any situation. That explains why the place was empty, there was just our table and maybe one or two others. Horrible, and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
They got us in the door by the prices. They are very cheap for the city and we were hoping for something great. We ordered the menu of the day so got to try a few things and unfortunately I did not finish any of it and I can eat! The food just is not good, the decor is outdated and our main waitress gave off the vibe that she just didn’t want to be there. The other waitress was very lovely though. I wouldn’t go back.
We paid €23 for one very average pizza and two cokes. Avoid. €4.40 for a standard can of Coke. €2 cover charge, but there was no bread or anything. The wall paintings were nice though.
