Our family has a rule about no eating in the Tourist Zone ! But after a trip to Isola San Giorgio Maggiore, we were tired and hungry. So we plopped down right on the dock in front of the bridge of sighs. What a great meal! First the waiter and waitress were worth the price of admission! Friendly, Joking, and Efficient! Went here for a birthday dinner and left veey disappointed. First course of crepe with asparagus and a cheese sauce was ok but more pub food than fine dining. Main course was battered Gurnard with a curry sauce on the side and green pepper. The fish was well cooked but so bland it was almost tastless and the curry sauce likewise.
