"Dont believe the reviews!the guys was unhappy to have costumers! slow like no tomorrow! I felt bad while ordering the fish. the fish could have been better if the frying oil was changed. We got our plates after 40 minutes! I noticed how the service was pleasant with other costumers he knew! the rice was MEH, the salade was OKAY, for what we paid really I was really angry... some old potatoes...I was happy to leave. I really hated the overall experience. Horrible"

"Absolutely fantastic! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We both had the duck breast which was beautifully plated with an assortment of perfectly cooked vegetables. It had a nice sauce which was light and sweet without being too much. We decided to splurge for dessert and order a grand matinee soufflé which was amazingly light and delicious. The restaurant filled up while we were there but the noise level was still low. We read that this was rated one of the best restaurants in Montreal and this meal confirmed that accolade."

"Summary: finally one of the good addresses in mtl, long waiting list to try one, but better places to in the city in my opinion,The good ambiente is a lot of fun, covered and for every Vibe business, couple, friends some teller like hummer spaghetti, scallops and veggies are really excellent selection to wein is strongly worth the friendly all the waiters. Yeah, that was good to eat, but the bottle of wine for $500, that's not worth my opinion. I would rather recommend to qué, pastel or mtl plaza for similar prices our chicken plate was strongly salted over what was a bummer. our friends who were at the same time with Joe-Rind had the same experience with their candy plate service was slow, probably too many waiter table"

"We were a larger group for dinner, and this turned out to be a perfect place to celebrate - all different dishes were great, like the appetizers. And the service was also very good. Since we were a larger group, we could try to start... many different things (cheek cakes, grilled octopus and garlic shrimps were the real standouts) and the most important courses were all outstanding- cod, lamb frame and seafood (like Paella) were the favorites. The cocktails were much fun, but most of us tried different wines before you stay for the meal - and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Finally we tried Desserts, and their (imported from Portugal) Natas (Ccustard tarts) were excellent! The team of servers was very attentive, and the waiter really knew his wines and had good suggestions for those who like to drink more picky about what they like. The restaurant was not loud, although it was quite full, and it had a very cool mood. Everyone had a funny time whether they were couples, women's night or families, and I would go back to try some of the other dishes I tasted. The washrooms are also unique!"

"I had driven by Bidon Tavern several times and finally stopped in for lunch with a friend. The restaurant/Bistro has a very comforting feel to it. We both had a tasty tomato soup to start followed by the classic salmon tartare. I must say the tartare is up there. Its a trendy dish in Montreal over the past few years and Bidon serves it up well. I do recommend you try it. Service was courteous but not over the top. I did get a feeling they were a little short staffed but that is the case in most places these days."
