"Looking for somewhere to eat on a pretty busy Saturday evening in auxerre, we came across le schaeffer. somehow it stood out from some of the others, partly for the atmosphere and also for the nutritional needs. The...Menu was good and cheap, although vegetarian and fish options were limited; so much of auxerre. at the end we had a good fishing season with glasses from local red wine, followed by a very nice cream brûlée. coffee still goes to the Italians!"
