"Only a short wait and the staff and our waitress was very efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and obviously freshly cooked to order. A large menu. There is a wine menu as well the desserts were very good. You can eat inside or out depending on your choice and the weather of course."

"The food was great but the service really lacked. But only seemed to be our server. Other servers were attentive and efficient. But I’m rating our experience specifically and it was lacking. Seated at a dirty table we waited until it finally got wiped. Ignored for the first 5 minutes. She brought chips and salsa no napkins or silverware. Our waitress asked us what we would like to drink. Brought us our drinks then asked what we would like to eat. We told her you haven’t given us the menus yet. In the meantime, we watched others get excellent service. After finally getting menus and ordering, our food came but we had no silverware. As she was walking away we said we don’t have silverware or napkins. Our waitress never checked back with us. However we could hear the other 2 servers asking their costumers how was their food. When we flagged her down for a soda, it was forgotten and we had to flag her down again. Most of the attention we got was from other servers. Ours disappeared for long periods in the back while we saw the others successfully juggling phone orders and dine-in orders without an issue.It may seem unfair to judge the entire place by our server but that was our specific experience. The rating would have been lower had it not been for the other servers trying to fill the gaps and the quality of the food."

"We were a bit disappointed with this restaurant. It is rated very highly with TripAdvisor and we were looking forward to a unit dining experience. It was not the case. They were short staffed and did not have a server, so one of the owners was waiting on us and running around trying to take care of everything himself. It was unfortunate. The food was average at best, we have been to Hawaii and will be traveling back this summer again, as a result we were expecting authentic food and ambiance. It may have been an off night, but nonetheless we were disappointed overall."

"We were a good restaurant with some vegan options (a bbq place no less). unfortunately it really missed the brand. we tried three vegan entrees: the burger was on average and we ordered the Bam sauce on the side, but neither burger came with any, the rice dish lacked of sweetness and not with the wobbles advertised on the menu, and the pesto gnocchi. from the three to the widest was the gnocchi, comes with bruises and green beans, which were also good. pesto was average. we ordered a beet salad think it would be vegan, bc the website description would not be mentioned. it came with a huge burrata over it. everything else we have ordered was vegan including a special vegan dessert, they would think that they would ask if we order the thing with cheese. the salat had like a quarter of the beet, just a few slices. quite disappointed and overpriced. two thumbs. "I'm so glad we finally got a chance to dine at Sammy's! There are so many vegan options and they're all clearly marked on the menu. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I was especially impressed with the selection of vegan desserts! The cakes tasted incredible. We will definitely be back next time we're in Vero."
