"Sweet and friendly staff. Lovely meat and tasty sauce and potatoes etc. The duck breast in particular was fantastic. Well equipped salad bar. The starter with tuna looked a little dry as if it had been in the buffet a little too long and so did some of the salads. Funny, slightly elongated room we were a bit sorry to be placed farthest away where it hardly felt like a restaurant down a corridor with many 2 person tables. If there are only two of you, you can enjoy a cozy romantic atmosphere. That time is not particularly pleasant. Perhaps it would have been better with a little fewer stalls because the restaurant does not seem very coherent. A bit of a shame. Had a couple of drinks a deal for two. They tasted pretty much like a cheap pre mix."

"Dejlig oplevelse. Sød og hurtig betjening, vi fik mad til 7 mennesker, inklusiv særbestillinger på max 20 minutter fra vi bestilte. Maden var veltillavet, indbydende og virkelig god. Eneste lille bitte minus er de tørrede blomster og diverse som juicen var pyntet af med. Det var virkelig ikke rart at få suget op med sugerøret da juicen var ved at være tom. Til gengæld smagte alt det under den trælse pynt fremragende"

"We came there on a Friday in mid April to check out the restaurant in order to judge whether we could use it in connection with a later lunch invitation to some good friends. For some reason unknown the entrance to the restaurant was at the backdoor and through the kitchen. Here we had the first negative impression. In the midst of arranging platters with food a young girl was busy sorting flowers and placing those in vases. No regard to the possible contamination of the food to be served. Next and in spite of a half empty restaurant we were placed just inside the door between restaurant and kitchen having to make room every time servings were brought into the restaurant. We asked for and had another table. The room as such is bare and dull with worn out furniture and only little decoration. We both ordered a “Stjerneskud” and bottled beer. The servings came within a reasonable time but the the cooked plaice fillets were placed directly on the roasted bread with no leaf of salad in between to avoid the bread to be soaked and become like a spunge. Moreover the fried plaice fillets, shrimps (very small and only few) and asparagus were plastered with an unappetitely mayonnaise dressing. The visit to Hjarbæk Kro was a disaster and we shall never come back. Mona and Jens"
