We stopped here for lunch on a day trip to Vicenza, we all had pasta with a nice glass of wine. The arabiata was tasty, perhaps could have been spicier but pretty good, tagliatelle with salmon was also good. It was a lovely setting and the service was pleasantly attentive. View all feedback.
What BobandJosie doesn't like about Antica Casa Della Malvasia:
This restaurant offered our tour party of 25 a group meal at fairly short notice but provided we accepted a very limited set menu. There were very few positive comments about the food, the fish risotto came in for most criticism and even less about the wine (which was served in a carafe). We were charged 40 Euros a head for a below average meal. View all feedback.
Well maintained local, in the center of vicenza, good the first dishes. also very extensive. He can stay. caponata of unmangiabile raw vegetables. good but with reserve.
In this place we certainly ate a mantecato cod and a cod to the vicentina worthy of tradition. very appetizing, correct portions, in short very positive experience. the place I have to say a little dark, courteous and hospitable but nn very empathetic. we are of the center of Italy and we noticed from the advent, we would have liked a greater interlocution, than in the place a small lack. nothing takes away the excellent dishes.
If you come to Vicenza, come here and eat! Just off the square, not filled with tourists, and a little quieter than the plaza. Great location, amazing food, and super romantic and special feeling. I'd be surprised if you didn't love it!
Went to the Vicenza market today with some lovely ladies. One of them suggested this little spot for lunch and it was fantastic. Even though it felt like 100 degrees outside the shade of the buildings and the flow of the alley allowed for a beautiful breeze while we were lunching. We all chose different salads and no one was disappointed. They were all delicious. I had the greek salad with table spray balsamic vinegar and oil, and it was so large I couldn't finish it. I'm not complaining though. If I'd had more room I would have eaten it all! Their house red is also a must. I still can't get over how good and inexpensive the house wines are here in Italy. Love it!! I'm hoping to take my darling hubby back here for a romantic walk through the area and enjoy a light dinner.
The only restaurant in Vicenza we didn't enjoy. The reception and service were the worst either of us could remember in many years of travel in Italy. The woman in charge was incredibly rude and, as we observed, not only to our table. Avoid at all costs.
