"We came in to eat at Fitzgerald's Restaurant on July 1st after the ferry ride from Newfoundland. We checked in at the motel next door where the clerk told us it would be okay for us to go to the restaurant at 6:45 p.m. even though they closed at 7:00. We were leery of going in at that time, but we were tired and hungry. The two servers who were working were so cordial and assured us that it was not a problem for us to be there just before closing. I had the fish and chips and I honestly can't remember what my husband ate. I do know that we both enjoyed our food and conversation with our server. The owner even asked us about our experience as we were leaving to go to the motel. Thank you for your friendliness and good food for two weary travelers!"
