"There is no menu, and you just get served on what they have on that day if you expect this already is ok (we already knew, so no surprises . Starters were ok: rissois (meat and fish 'patties pastries ' and 'alheira ' (meat and bread sausage , this last one was great. We had a meat and baked potatoes dish: meat was good, but somehow bland and potatoes were just ok... Too soft, mushy... Vegetables were brought to the table at the end of our meal, so we couldn 't understand why... For desert we had blancmange (pudim ... Worst ever! Mushy, tasted weird, maybe an orangy taste... The cost was low, so you do get what you paid for and I would say it is a fair price: just slightly above 10€ person."

"We were tempted to visit this restaurant after having ordered many times online home deliveries from it. From this we had namely gathered the food was among the best in Braga when it comes to flavour and quantity. Our visit to this restaurant was in all a very nice experience. The decor of the restaurant is an old renovated house with quite a luxurious setting. There is a lot of space around the tables, also to fit baby carts etc. We had informed the restaurant we were arriving with a baby and upon arrival we found out the restaurant managers had put us a baby chair for eating, very nice. In all, we had a full Sunday lunch here going from soup to desert and coffee. All dishes are very flavourfull and when it turned out we didn't like one dish due to the part of fish used (neck of the codfish), the owner promptly exchanged our dish prepared in same way but with another part. Overall, the food here is excellent and the service very attentive. I especially liked the wine list in this restaurant, as there is a huge variety with all wine regions of Portugal represented. What is especially good here is that there is a good price spread. You can choose a cheap 10 euro bottle up to more exclusive bottles costing 60 euro, with a large choice in each price region. Anyhow, we opted for a 12 euro priced bottle from the Dão region (red) and it was excellent. Concluding, definitely worth a visit when you are in Braga, not only when visiting Bom Jesus."
