Santos Mexican Grill & Bar - Vienna

Having been blessed to serve with the FCO as a Diplomat, my wife and I have been blessed to travel extensively for many years.... Today we dined in Santos inside a shopping centre!!! ...which is actually part of a food hall yet this particular restaurant looked very modern and clean and inviting..... . We are here in Vienna to watch Bruno Mars in Concert...My word I can honestly say I am completely bewildered why this Restaurant and amazing Chef does not have awards hanging from the walls... From the personal and delightful attentiveness of the service staff," Antonio ", we thank you for your professionalism. Regarding the food, my wife and I both concluded that after 30 years of a rather privileged and blessed life of fine food and world travel .... including 2 years ..Actually living in South America...... . This particular restaurant serving Latin American Food of spectacular quality is now in our favourite top 10 food experiences of All time in any Country or Continent. From the beautiful presentation and mix of delicious flavours all of which worked and worked very well. The chef for this afternoon spectacular , should be commended on his originality, presentation and outstanding talent. 1st class food and an unforgettable experience. If you like Mexican food this is the place you MUST be checking out. We couldn't get a table at the actual restaurant on another location but we managed to get in this shopping mall. The food was beyond great. Portions were way too big so we brought leftovers for later to snack on. Maybe they could have given more tortillas with the meal but it was perfect this way too.I can't wait to go there again!p.s. cocktails were excellent too!

Visited this little Mexican not expecting much. We were cold and hungry and this place looked inviting and it was happy hour (win, win situation). Food, drinks were good. All meals were presented well and were tasty. If ever back in this area of Vienna will be back.

We never expect much from restaurants inside the shopping malls but this is an exception!!Great mexican food: - you have to order nachos con queso (best we ever had)- we also had really tasty fajitas (you can see on the photo) - the portion was so big that one has problems to eat it all :).- and lastly drinks - great taste and presentation - good to come at happy hour (16 - 20h / 23 - 24h) - you can get one for 5.90 EUR!Everytime we are in Vienna, we cannot miss this place!!Good to make the reservation for the evening - place is quite crowded!

I been there several times-and in Wieden too! Santos is a really great mexican restaurant the food was really-really delicous no matter what I ordered!
