"The food and wine were delicious. The staff were also very friendly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, if it were not for the fact that no one was wearing a mask. Only realised it a little later. Under the current circumstances, that's unfortunate and...uncomfortable. I would absolutely go back after restrictions are lifted."

"Another popular restaurant in Coimbra. Very good traditional food. We shared a dose of fish, served cold, with cabbage and potatoes, with half a bottle of red wine followed by deserts 12 euros. It is a lively, compact restaurant with seating for about 20. Freindly Service. Parking is located on the steep road, parking is tight, so you may need to drive further away."

"Drawn in by the €10 menu and good reviews we weren’t disappointed. Soup/bread, beautifully cooked sardines with veg and boiled potatoes, egg flan, very tasty house red and a coffee to top it off, oh and a bottle of water. How refreshing to visit a tourism hot spot without being ripped off! Really decent young waiter who served us promptly made for a great meal."

"The food and service greatly exceeded my expectations. I especially loved the rich textures of the food, for example the breading on the fish, which were a nice change from boiled potatoes. We asked about wines and our server disappeared and returned with four open...bottles for free tastes. The chocolate mousse with olive oil was a big hit with all four of us."
