Excellent cuisine, excellent attention, excellent local and its decoration, beautiful mountain environment
An original and cozy place. Very short menu of simple but super well prepared meals. Grill meats, ñoquis, sorrentinos, milanesa and some tickets. Among the flan desserts, floating island, and some home syrups. The Parrilla master brings you the cuts to the table, asks you what you want, a cap. Yesterday I went for the first time. When they brought me the bill I asked if you could pay with a card. I was told only to be effective... but if I didn't have it, that at some other time I would take it... like in the old good times!
We arrived in Ascochinga about 15 hours, we stayed and started to travel the hotel and take pictures. We had left Buenos Aires, very early in the morning, not having to hurry and enjoy the trip, stopping where we liked it without haste, but at that time we were already quite hungry and although it was the right time for a snack we wanted to take something more consistent. We had been recommended Post Roca at a small distance from the hotel and the Automotive Club of Ascochinga, stating that there we could have lunch despite the time and there we headed. The first impression was impeccable, all very neat and a wooded park with a very nice roofed terracita, outside there is grill and mud oven. But we decided to go in and take a break and a more relaxed moment; even though it was August the sun was intense and after the exploratory walk of the hotel and the area we wanted to rest more comfortably. As we enter, we notice that the place is beautifully decorated, with wood profusion, stone and warm colors; with a very nice bar and apparently comfortable. The owner quickly treated us (the place is very well served by a family), not creating problems with the schedule and offered us to eat empanadas and meat, although if we prefer we could consume pasta or a minut. We chose the very steep ledges for the wait and then chorizo bife with fries and an excellent beet salad, grated carrot and hard egg. The meat was of excellent quality, fresh and at the exact point of cooking, as did the chromatants. All this was accompanied by a rich Amabile of the Bodega La Caroyense (from the area). The assistance was careful and hospitable in all details. We did not get used to eating dessert, but we made an exception: there were homemade figs with walnut and mammon (which we did not eat long ago). It's all very clean and roasted, the bathrooms are impeccable. The price was more than reasonable, the service was emerald and the cozy place that invited us to stay for a long time, chatting and planning the activities and walks of the coming days.
Excellent attention from waitress and the owner. High quality, abundant food. Dream place. I'd definitely come back, very recommendable.
We went on a Sunday after a storm, well decorated, fast attention despite being full of diners. Warm, home dishes (pastas, empanadas, roast among others) of very good quality and cost paid ratio. Couple , friends or family ideal for sharing
