What John B likes about Sound Chicken:
The place is small and kinda oddly bare. And the menu is pretty spare. And the hours seem kinda short it seems like they 're always closed. Not sure I understand their business strategy. But they 're friendly, and they make a good fried chicken sandwich. Not as good as Pelicana, the Korean fried chicken outlet, but better than average. Fries were good. Follow up review... August 2021: The food is still very good for solid fried chicken fare. Great battered and meaty sandwiches are sizable (and should be for the prices... . "The truck was at the Paramus Food Truck Festival over the weekend. Hubby's cousin is a picky eater, but he loved the Brisket Sandwich. Which says a lot : I got the Corn Bread and Carolina Bowl. I loved the Carolina Bowl, meaty, and the slaw was delicious, and I'm not a slaw person. My order was to go, so I ate it later and it was delicious. I will have to try it freshly made in the brick and mortar location. The Corn Bread was too dry for my taste, I had to warm it up and smothered it with butter to eat it... Will have to go to the brick and mortar location soon!"
