"On the road of palntino santiago we find this month with medieval drop and objects worthy of the best antique shop. -the food is typically Castilian made in traditional style. we eat garlic soups, morcilla and other sausages, baked area in wood oven. all with leaf bread and so already typical bibs for the diners. it is recommended to book, although its dining room is approximately diners. in the village stands out the church of Santa Maria built in the century xiii"

"My wife and I were looking forward to the meal at Hostal El Apostle, after reading a number of glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. We had high expectations of this restaurant and were looking forward to a good meal, after walking all day on our Camino, The greeting was amenable and the restaurant looked clean and well presented. We ordered the 11€ pilgrims meal as previous pilgrim meals had along the Camino route had been quite satisfying but not at the Hostal El Apostle. The basket of bread was cake like but very dry stale. For the entree, I ordered the chickpea seafood soup. It contained some rice, was extremely salty and had minimal seafood content. It tasted quite strange a sort of a mismatch of ingredients. My wife ordered the mixed salad that was reasonable. For the main, I ordered the fried battered bacalao (salted cod) that was presented with a smoky red pepper and fried chips, as a side. The cod and batter were saturated in oil and the dorsal fins were not fully removed. The accompanying chips were droopy and also saturated in oil, all best described as stodgy. The smoked red pepper was from a jar. My wife ordered the grilled calamari. It was reasonable but a small portion that was also accompanied with the same droopy chips and a large side dish of aioli. The bottle of vino tinto (red wine) that was included in the price, was atrocious, it was obvious that bottles are refilled with some cheap local wine (cork used was well worn and used on many occasions) and was in my opinion undrinkable. For dessert we were presented with a curd and sealed container of honey and a layered cake that was very ordinary, the same applies to the coffee, nothing special. Suggest that anyone wanting a reasonable meal go elsewhere as there are quite a few eating establishments in Fromista, explore further alternatives on your arrival. Overall we were very disappointed."
