"We ate here to celebrate my birthday and had an absolutely superb meal. My husband and I agreed it was one of the best meals we had ever eaten. There were several courses of multiple delights, interesting flavours and textures. Wine included. For 36€, the value is outstanding. We will certainly return and the only problem is it’s an hour away on fairly winding roads !"

"The restaurant has nice surroundings, and outside on the terrace under the climbing kiwi plant this is nice to sit and relax. But the chairs are far from being comfortable, and when you spend almost 3 hours for your lunch you become more than anxious...to leave, walk and breathe elsewhere. The menus are very tempting and cheap, the quality of the various dishes is very good. Some caveats: The service is formal and not very friendly, and overall you wait all the time in front of your empty plates, which is quite annoying. So a really underwhelming review, and as far as I am concern, I would prefer another place rather than to spend all this time waiting for my dishes."
