"Historical is hardly possible; beautiful old treasure, lovingly restored, great ambience, excellent cuisine I was personally overwhelmed with the map: ; am not a gourmet. A 3 courses menu about 69, per p. Beautiful wines. We enjoyed the 1st evening with Prosecco in the great courtyard. In bad weather it is necessary to avoid an interior that is also the breakfast room. Above is a beautiful space for celebrations. Very friendly staff! We felt very comfortable! The arrival with ÖPV was a bit cumbersome, but for cars there is a parking lot at the house. The hotel is located on a hill from where you can look wonderfully at the beautiful small town of Idstein. The room has m.E. standard, but there is still a higher category. The hotel has 4 stars. Really recommended, also due to history. Not barrier-free!! Nearby activities: 200 m down to the beautiful old town! This is great, lovingly restored half-timbered houses, a lot of good gastronomy and of course historical buildings that can be visited. City museum: free! We got on the 2nd. Evening at the Taunushof. Very nice map; tasty!! Walkability: From the hotel you are in 5 minutes in the old town; a lot of cobblestones ."
