"Very warm, friendly and quaint cafe. My daughter and I dined here and shared a seafood crepe and side salad. The crepe was delicious, as were the prawns within, but the seafood was scant with way too much white sauce and only a teensy bit of lobster in my half and none in the other. The side salad was fresh and delicious. We shared a simple sugar and lemon crepe for dessert which we both loved. I would definitely dine here again, maybe choosing a different main. The only thing we thought was unusual was that they don't offer tap water for the table. All drinks need to be purchased which detracted a little from the experience."

"After winning a dinner voucher for $80 and hubby's birthday we decided on going for dinner. We were recommended the special for Spartan for two. Well I shared this with my teenager boy dumb idea as he ate most of it as all it really was a mixed grill. Nothing special. Hubby ordered Octupus (expensive) but received two large pieces and it was overcookrd. Octupus cook well is not rubbery. Other son ordered soulivki and it was very chewy. Greek beer was great. And the girls that serviced as were very lovely. Very expensive and really not that special. I am a cook so I am very hard to please. But we still enjoyed our night out. And really we only had too make up the bill. So for what we paid for all good. Would I rush back. No. Enjoy"

"Everytime we are in Mackay this is the first stop to go for a yummy ice cream. The Asian Lady was really friendly and we could try many flavours. We had 6 flavours between us and all tasted really good, also the serves were generous in size Just be aware for Vegan ice cream they charge 50 cent more, which I think is not really right."

"I did the very first review of the Rice Buffet and gave it a glowing review. However, over the last year or so it has crawled downhill hardly the fresh, abundant food that has been offered in the past. Food wasn 't bursting with freshness (as it has been in the past) especially the prawns. Everything was just a 'bit sad and sorry '. Disappointed as this was a great option for we Senior citizen who are looking for a fresh, affordable meal."

"Recently moved away from Mackay and have missed this restaurant. It was the first place I came to for dinner upon my return. It is still excellent. Excellent food (calamari is the best I’ve ever eaten). Excellent service, staff are very attentive. And Kevin is also an excellent host. Would give more stars if I could"
