O Franguito Algarvio - Viseu

This is a very traditional restaurant placed in an strategic street, right in front of Forum Viseu (a Mall in the city center). The menu is classic, but the chicken is something else to the point that we need to order another round. The waiters/management are young and very nice. Miguel watched over our table with care, so we got everything hot and fresh. But take care, within a few minutes the house that had a few tables, just got full with a line in the door (reservations are high recommended).

We've been very privileged to have eaten well in Portugal. But O Franguito Algarvio was by far the best meal we've enjoyed during our holiday. The food was incredible; I had the spicy chicken, and my husband tried the Bacalhau, and we firmly recommend both. Oh, if they offer you the grilled peppers as a side dish, don't hesitate... its a secret recipe that's well worth the try. My favourite bit was the fact that you could see right into their immaculate kitchen though... the hussle within was great to observe and you can tell they care about their customers. I can wait to go back.
