very cozy place, very kind and pleasant staff. the dishes were really exceptional especially the embryos to the vine, they were a spectacular thing. During Xmas not many restaurants open in Viterbo (very nice town). This one was relatively crowded and with good selection of food. Lunch was well served and dishes were all acceptable. Traditional dishes of local cuisine are fine (mushrooms, soups, pasta, pork meat). Price a little bit too high for that type of place. Came in for dinner and the owners were friendly and helpful but the environment with the blaring TV and the owners just lounging about was rather unsettling. The food was mediocre OK mozzarella salad, decent paccheri but very heavy sauce and disappointing semifreddo. You can do much better in Viterbo.
We found this restaurant when so many others were closed...the place was packed, and although we had to wait, the food was excellent, and we plan to return very soon. It seemed to be a family business and the patrons were mostly locals. Good food, great people!
