"Ordered a hot chocolate and got watery Swiss miss. I'm not picky, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a café to provide at least medium quality hot chocolate. If you mix cocoa powder, sugar and a bit of water into a paste and then mix it with hot milk, that's a place to start. Also, melting baker's chocolate into hot milk is great. Just a place to start!"

"My husband and I found this place recently...we saw it when we were getting gas noticed that it offered not only a cafè but, a little convenience store, gas station and a Hawaiian quilt gift shop ?? Have to wear masks and had hand sanitizer while waiting for someone to seat you. Not too many people, so we were able to be seated quickly ? Their menu selection was impressive, offering a lot of different choices...my husband had the Hamburger Steak and I had the Chow Fun, it was DELICIOUS ? and the service was good ??"

"Best food in Volcano, but you'll pay for it. Volcano has very few places to eat, and they close on random nights on the night we went, this was the only one open. Be prepared to pay near Oahu hotel level prices for very good but not outstanding food drinks. Popular and good, though."

"Amazing selection of unique coffee blends. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You certainly never feel rushed. They took time to inquire about my coffee tastes and preferences. The coffee shop held many local snacks, chocolate, and artwork. Coffee cups and lids were all compostable. Community and environment conscious business. A good pit stop on the way to Hawaii Volcano National Park."
