After a week in Salzburgland, this is by far the best and friendliest place i've found. Waiters are fast, welcoming and understand a few words in several languages... the food is the best - even the pasta... and it is a steak house! It's a bit off road even in small Wagrain, however you should try it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Riverside:
Had dinner here which was very good but the experience was spoiled by the smell of cigarette smoke. Coming from a country where such an activity is banned it was very noticeable and this is not somewhere I would return for this reason alone. Pity ad the food was great and the service excellent. Beautiful atmosphere, good carving. The hotel is not far from the pension in the centre of Wagrain.
I was in Wagrain on a road trip back in November 2017 and passed over Riverside while I was looking for a restaurant. I ate here twice during my stay and my experiences were pleasant on both occasions. The food was decent and the value for money was fine. The main reason to give this place 4 stars, however, is the service that was excellent. During both visits I was served a beautiful young waitress who was very friendly and helpful. She had some good advice and tips on what we should see and seemed to have a good knowledge of the area. All in all, I would call Riverside a good place for a tourist to rest and fill out.
The food was very good and the staff very nice. One star minus because they do not take credit cards.
Best place to eat and drink in Wagrain. Best food and a staff that do anything possible to make your stat the best ever.
Very smokey. Food average. Very thick pizza and dry carving. Only the salvation of graces were 1) the wonderful waitress who was really extraordinary 2) Friday evening atmosphere that begins at 10 a.m.
