The restaurant works in a first coming, first served format and does not accept reservations. We were a party of 4 and came at 5:30, and we were told that waiting was 1.5 hours. This was our second visit to Lava Lava Beach Club Restaurant. The first (pre-pandemic) was good but, this time, the food was less flavorful and overcooked. We arrived just after sunset and were told that there would be an hour-and-a-half wait for two people. "We loved the Canoe House! The ocean views and restaurant ambiance are gorgeous and relaxing. The food was inventive and delicious. We loved the seasoned edamame, wickedly addictive pull apart bread, and preparation of the local catch. Sky was our server and she was very warm, attentive, and helpful with ordering. She made our dining experience even more special. I highly recommend dining at the Canoe House, especially around sunset."
