What Roy Barber likes about Lazy Trout:
Fascinating place. Reputed to be the most haunted hotel in NZ. Staff were few and far between but they worked very hard and were very pleasant. Food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit but bear in mind the place needs complete re-refurbishment. An historic building that should be restored. View all feedback.

The food is very presentable for what you expect. If you are hungry you're going to want to eat here before you head out. You can even come here for dinner and the service is really quick. There is ample parking and the restrooms are next door. They offer a buffet breakfast as well as a menu.
