"This is our first afternoon tea in the shop after having two takeaway teas over the last 2 years in lockdown. All i can say is wow. Richards cakes are amazing, so light. Everything is so tasty. We've had afternoon teas at other places in...the past but this knocks the socks off them all."

"Just moved to the area from down south- returning to ‘God’s Own’. Had a great local F&C take out in Pinner so we were on a mission to replicate this. When we found The Grumpy Frier we hit the jackpot. Freshly cooked fish and delicious fries. The curry sauce is amazing. Highly recommend."

"Those who don’t do vegetarian restaurants or even vegan cuisine, prepare to have your expectations turned around. The food is outstanding. It’s delicious, and nutritious and served by a wonderful host. Honestly, neither of us are veggies, but we love this place as something a bit different. Highly recommend the coffee at the end of the meal."
